Villa Cala is located in a small village of Slivari, near the town of Žminj. Slivari are only 2 kilometers from Žminj which guarantees privacy, but also quick and easy access to all your daily needs. This authentic Istrian house was built during the 19th century, and completely restored in 2007. Only the best materials were used for restoration, starting with the oak parquet and handmade furniture. Despite the restoration the Villa has maintained its warmth, and its distinctive and original appearance. Villa has an area of 170 m? divided into two floors, and a garden with additional 450 m? and separate parking space. Villa Cala consists of 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and 1 toilet. From the 12th century, Žminj was part of the Pazin county and throughout the Middle Ages, it was a rich trading center for agricultural products, wine, and wood. Today Žminj and its surroundings have about 3,500 residents who are still engaged in traditional activities, agriculture, olive and wine production, and cattle breeding. Recently, tourism is developing, especially in the surroundings of Žminj, where the old traditional Istrian stone houses are converted into modern holiday homes with swimming pool. The old medieval part of the town has remained well preserved, and the remains of medieval walls today constitute the outer walls of houses and fences. To this date remained well-preserved southeast circular tower of the feudal castle from the 15th century.
