The boat has regullar Line Ilovik-Mrtvaška 4 times a day. You can also use taxi boat that patroles on between periods. Island Ilovik is connected to Mali Lošinj 4 times a day with a ride that lasts 20 min and looks like this: Mali Lošinj - car taxi- Mrtvaška (parking) - boat ride- Ilovik. To Ilovik You can come during the wholle year directly from City Rijeka using Katamaran Rijeka-Ilovik-Mali Lošinj. In summer time You can also use Katamaran from City Zadar Zadar-Ilovik-Mali Lošinj-Pula (on wednesday and saturday). The nearest airports are Zadar, Krk (ner Rijeka) and Pula. Next to Ilovik, there is a small, uninhabited island of St. Petar on which there is a local cemetery. The island of St. Petar is separated from Ilovik by 2.5 km long and 300 m wide channel. The first inhabitants of Ilovik came from nearby Lošinj in the 11th century, who worked on the land for the former Benedictine monastery from the island of St. Petar. Ilovik was built in the 18th century, parallel with the development of Mali Lošinj and Veli Lošinj, but today it has only a hundred inhabitants that are engaged in fishing, sheep breeding and recently in tourism. Ilovik is well connected by ferry line from Rijeka and Mali Lošinj, and it is visited by numerous excursion boats.
