Municipality Gradac includes four picturesque tourist towns scattered along the ten kilometers of coastline: Zaostrog, Podaca, Brist, and Gradac. Under the current name, Gradac was first mentioned in the seventeenth century. Named after the fort which was located on a hill above the present church of St. Michael, which served as a defense against the Turks. Gradac is characterized by a pleasant climate throughout the year, and the number of sunny days per year, along with island of Hvar, is in the very top of the whole Adriatic. From a total of 15 kilometers of the coast of the riviera Gradac, natural pebbles beaches make up some ten kilometers. 7 kilometers of beaches are in the very tourist areas, which provides guests with plenty of space for privacy and intimacy.
