Dugi Otok is the largest and most remote island in the North Dalmatian islands and its name justify a length of about 45 km. Soline, Verunić and Veli Rat are located on the northwest coast in the deep bays. Sali is the municipal and administrative center of the island and it has the most inhabitants. The island is very well connected to the mainland and the city of Zadar by ferry and fast ferry lines.
