Above the lake lies the 10th century Topana fortress, which offers a breathtaking view of the entire Imotski area. Crveno lake is named after the red color of the rocks surrounding it. It is a specific lake because its minimum depth is 233 meters and during high water level, depth is over 300 meters, making it one of the deepest karstic lakes in the world. The center of Imotski is full of stone houses, streets, and stairs, connecting the old and newer parts of the city.
